Privacy Policy

Mockup Kit ("the App") is a native macOS application developed by Damas Technologies. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Summary

• All your images and projects stay on your Mac - nothing is uploaded to our servers.
• Anonymous analytics are collected only if you explicitly opt in.
• We do not create user accounts, require sign-in, or collect personal information.
• Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit.

1. Data That Stays on Your Device

The App processes all images, screenshots, headlines, overlays, and exports locally on your Mac. No image data, project files, or exported assets are transmitted to any server. User preferences (appearance mode, canvas background, interface style) are stored in macOS UserDefaults on your device and are not synced or shared.

2. Analytics (Opt-In Only)

The App uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data such as which features are used and general app performance metrics. Analytics collection is disabled by default and is only enabled if you explicitly choose "Allow Analytics" when prompted after first launch.

You can change this choice at any time in Settings -> Privacy -> Share anonymous analytics.

When analytics are enabled, Firebase may collect:

• Anonymous event data (e.g., feature usage counts)
• App version and macOS version
• Device type and locale
• Crash and performance reports

Firebase Analytics does not collect your name, email address, Apple ID, or any information that personally identifies you. For details on how Google processes this data, see the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy documentation.

3. Purchases

In-app purchases (Monthly subscription and Lifetime unlock) are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple ID. Damas Technologies does not receive, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through System Settings -> Apple ID -> Subscriptions on your Mac.

4. Files and Sandboxing

The App runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It can only read and write files that you explicitly select through the system file picker or drag-and-drop. The App does not access your photo library, contacts, calendar, location, camera, microphone, or any other system resource beyond the files you choose to open.

5. No Accounts or Sign-In

The App does not require or support user accounts, email registration, social login, or any form of authentication. There is no user profile and no personal data to delete.

6. No Third-Party Tracking

The App does not include advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or third-party data brokers. The only third-party service is Firebase Analytics, which is opt-in as described in Section 2.

7. Data Sharing

Damas Technologies does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. If analytics are enabled, anonymous usage data is processed by Google Firebase under their data processing terms. No data is shared with any other party.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Data Retention

All user preferences are stored locally in macOS UserDefaults and can be reset by deleting the App or running defaults delete com.damastechnologies.Mockuper in Terminal. If analytics are enabled, Firebase retains anonymous event data according to Google's standard retention policies (typically 14 months for event data).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when adding new features. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
